Your Data Stays Inside Excel
ExcelAI is designed with privacy at its core. We never store your spreadsheet data, workbook contents, or sensitive financial information on our servers. All AI processing is handled through secure, encrypted channels and your data remains under your control at all times.
What We Process
When you use ExcelAI, we temporarily process:
- The natural language prompts you write in the ExcelAI chat panel
- Cell references and range selections needed to execute your requests
- Temporary context required for multi-step operations
This data is processed transiently and is not stored after the operation completes. We do not train AI models on your data.
What We Never Access
- Your actual spreadsheet cell values or workbook data
- File names, sheet names, or document metadata
- Personal identifiable information from your spreadsheets
- Your Excel license keys or account credentials
AI Model Providers
ExcelAI connects to third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, Meta, Mistral) to process natural language into spreadsheet actions. These providers operate under strict zero-retention policies and do not use your prompts for model training. You can review their individual privacy policies for more details.
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and payment information (processed securely by Paddle). This information is used solely for account management, billing, and support purposes.
Data Security
All communications between ExcelAI and our servers are encrypted using TLS 1.3. We follow industry best practices for data security and regularly audit our systems. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
